About Me

Hi, I’m Tracey Dickson. I joined McCallum + Dallas as a Client Manager in 2024, and I’m thrilled to be part of such a supportive and forward-thinking team. My journey in accounting began after I completed a Bachelor of Management Studies at the University of Waikato in 2008. Since then, I’ve become a Chartered Accountant and started out in an auditing role before transitioning into accounting.

These days, I live on a sheep and beef farm in Ararata with my husband and our two children. My role at MCCD is all about helping my clients with all their accounting needs including GST’s, annual accounts compilation and review, budgeting and forecasting preparation. I’ve always been good with numbers and enjoy helping people, so accounting was a natural fit for me.

Working at MCCD has been a fantastic experience because it’s not just about traditional accounting here. The firm has a friendly, family vibe, and it’s giving me the chance to grow my skills beyond compliance to include advisory services like budgeting and forecasting. I believe this forward-thinking approach is incredibly beneficial for our clients, helping them navigate not just the present but also plan for the future.

I’m committed to producing high-quality work for my clients, and I approach problem-solving in a logical and methodical way. I value face-to-face communication and am always willing to help anyone who needs it. I’m also not afraid to ask questions when I need to—learning and collaboration are key in our field.

Outside of work, I’m all about family, farming, camping, and swimming. I love having a laugh and enjoying life’s simple pleasures. My personal values align closely with MCCD’s values. I’m committed to whatever I do, and I genuinely care about the people I work with and the clients I serve. I hope our clients see that we truly care about their businesses and are here to help them achieve the best results. My goal is for them to view us as their first port of call if they’re under financial pressure or stress so that we can support them during tough times.

At MCCD, we’re always discussing where the industry is heading and exploring new advancements. We regularly attend training courses and webinars to stay professionally up to date. It’s an exciting time to be part of this industry, and I’m eager to continue growing alongside our clients and the team.
