Rachel Reader

Hi, I’m Rachel Reader—Wife, Boy Mum, Chef, and your go-to for all things GST and Payroll here at MCCD. My journey to this role has been quite an adventure, with a background in being self-employed that has equipped me with a unique set of skills perfect for an accounting office.

Before joining MCCD, I owned a café for 11 years, where I gained valuable experience in payroll and Xero, which I now bring to my role here. I handle payroll and GST, and I’m always in close communication with our clients to ensure everything runs smoothly. Recently, I’ve taken on the responsibility of managing all payrolls, streamlining them to be more efficient with deadlines and work hours.

Outside of work, my life is all about my boys, CrossFit, food, the beach, and adventures. I love to travel and explore new places whenever I can.

There’s something incredibly fulfilling about knowing that my clients are taken care of and that they don’t have to stress over the little things that come with running a business. At McCallum + Dallas we are members of NZ Payroll Practitioners Association which keeps me up to date with all the latest changes to the law and the Holidays Act. It’s a great resource for upskilling and attending courses, ensuring that I’m always on top of my game.

At the end of the day, I’m here to make sure everything behind the scenes is running smoothly so that our clients can focus on what they do best.
